Paul R. Boisvert - Chemistry teacher


His photo is on page 20 in the NBHS 1965 Yearbook.

Paul R. Boisvert, 90, of New Bedford, died Friday, December 10, 2021 at St. Anne's Hospital following a brief illness.

He was the widower of Lillian R. (Dessert) Boisvert and son of the late Eugene and Leda (Renaud) Boisvert.

Born In New Bedford, Mr. Boisvert was a lifelong resident of the city. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Army of Occupation Medal (G).

Mr. Boisvert was employed as a teacher at New Bedford High School until his retirement. He was also employed as a tour guide for Paragon Tours.

His family includes his daughter, Monique A. Craig of Dartmouth, and his son, Andrew D. Boisvert and his wife, Patricia Lacasse of Woodstock, CT; 5 grandchildren, Amanda Visconti, Eddie Craig, Amy Craig-Fournier, Matthew Craig and Julie Craig; 2 great-grandchildren, Noah Visconti and Lillian Fournier and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Eugene Boisvert and Pauline Dias.

His Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Acushnet Avenue, New Bedford. Inurnment with military honors in Massachusetts National Cemetery is private.
