Comments:

Attended the Union Hospital School of Nursing, worked at Taunton State Hospital for 3 years, joined the Navy as a LTjg and was stationed in California for my 2 years, got married to a wonderful man, a Marine, just after my enlistment was up and spent 6 years traveling about his duty stations until he retired. Moved back to New Bedford and worked in various nursing homes until I joined the staff at St Luke's Hospital when we moved from our independent psych hospital to the main campus. Then, we got totally fed up with the amounts of snow and decided to retire early and moved to Texas after my recovery from CA. Best move we could ever have made. We live close to the gulf and spend a great deal of time at the water. Here in Texas, I honed my skills as as a healer, using energy and herbs, owned my own business, and had fun! Then a friend asked me to help her open up a Psych Treatment Center, I did and became a Director. That was fun as well, but was closed after 6 years and I decided that was enough. I did happen to fall and badly break my ankle and foot in 3 places, and now use a cane. I visit once or twice a year to shop, no bargains like in Dartmouth!
My husband and I celebrated our 37th anniversary this past summer at the restaurant where my daughter Heather is manager of the kitchen...the food was wonderful...and about 50 of our friends and family celebrated with us. That was a very brief review of my life since 1965.
