DARTMOUTH-Barbara Ann (Paleczka) DeCosta, 77, of So. Dartmouth, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Leonard DeCosta, Jr. and daughter of the late Thomas Thaddeus and Mary Theresa (Cummiskey) Paleczka.
Born in New Bedford, she was a 1965 graduate of New Bedford High School. Barbara Ann resided in Dartmouth following her marriage. She was employed as a cashier at Walmart in Dartmouth for several years.
In her leisure time she enjoyed playing games on her computer.
She is survived by her son, Leonard DeCosta III and his wife, Erica of Lehigh Acres, Florida; her sister, Dorothy Houle of Dartmouth; her granddaughter, Felicia Gehringer and her husband, Justin; 2 great-grandchildren, Beth-Ann and Ryder James; her niece, Debbie Houle and her nephew, John Houle.
Barbara Ann was predeceased by her brother, Robert Paleczka.
