Roger L. Levesque, 78, of Fall River, peacefully passed away on October 16, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital after a period of declining health.
He was the beloved husband of the late Cynthia A. (Desroches) Levesque for over 52 years.
Born in New Bedford on February 18, 1947, he was the son of the late Hervey L. and Alice M. (Roy) Levesque. Roger was a proud graduate of New Bedford High School and Southeastern Massachusetts Technological Institute. He lived in Assonet for almost 40 years before moving to Fall River.
He was formerly employed as a History teacher at New Bedford High School, as a General Manager at Fernandes and Super Place Supermarkets and later, was the General Manager at Olive Garden and Old County Buffet restaurants. He also operated Captain Sea J’s in Somerset, MA prior to retirement. His hard work ethic and commitment were evident throughout his professional life.
His visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 23rd from 4-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 24th at 10 AM in St. Bernard's Church, 30 South Main St. Assonet. Please meet directly at church. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
