I remember hanging out with Billy at his house with a bunch of other kids from Acushnet.Listening to tunes and drinking lemonade on summer nites.Great kid-good memories.
There's a street sign --- or at least there was --- on Leonard Street in Acushnet. It reads "Willie J. Way." It was just like Bill to have his own street sign. It marked the spot of many memories, and more than a few of them were hijinks. Bill was a good friend, and I don't think growing up in Acushnet would have been nearly as rich an experience without him. He would later serve his home town in a variety of capacities, including that of a very capable and dedicated police officer.
God bless you, friend. I suspect that, when we meet again, you'll have the territory pretty well mapped out for the rest of us.
