I have been calling Jack Nunes for months, 2 or 3 times a week.  He is receiving treatment  in the morning and always tells me to call after 11 AM.  Lately, no one picks up the phone when I call.  I have known Jack since 1957, (Lincoln Elem, School).   My Prayers are with him and his family.  During his last call to me, he said that his daughter was staying with Jack and Betty.

Jack is someone I know well from the old neighborhood.  We understand each other on so  many levels.   We understood how hard our parents worked and how difficult it was to assimilate.  Jack was so talented in so many ways. Please , I hope through this venue that I cdn convey my best wishes for his recovery. Please, anyone in touch with him, please let him and family know.

Jack.    I will miss you. I have fond memories of you especially in Mr Cabral's science class at Normandin. Jack was easy to  be around. Loved his big genuine smile and laugh. We reconnected a few yrs ago  & had  dinner with he & Betty at reunion time.  Had a special love for animals. Years ago  owned a convenience store / gas station near Seattle. I frequented it on my visits to  see my son.   Yes my friend Rest in peace

Hey Dave, I'm hopeful about 2025. 2024 was supposed to be the year I got healthy again. Instead, in January I got long COVID and am still short of breath, then in May had severe AFib and Aflutter, needing an operation.

So in 2025 I'm going to try again. Cardiologist gave me six things to do to best avoid a stroke. Only 4 days in but hope to complete a year of healthy living and add a few years to my life.

That said, just in case, I activating Double Secret Probation Plan B: Stop watching Youtube cat videos and do some of the things I've been putting off for years, including one thing I've wanted to do since before high school.

What about you?

We now have 2 grand daughters that live less than one mile away from  us, in Sahuarita, AZ.   Retiring to Green Valley, Arizona was the best move we ever made.  Looking forward to the "roller coaster" our Washington DC politics will bring.  Hope the next 4 years flys by and the USA gets back to "normal" again.  Democracy is what it is --- taking the Good with the Bad.  We made it this far since 1965, 4 more years should be a cake walk.   ---   Wishing and Praying for everyone to enjoy a Blessed New Year in 2025, Good Health, and Safe travels.   In February 2025 (next month), I am taking my wife to Greece for her brithday.  She is NBHS Class of 1968.  We  love  our travels, Med cruises and our 25 day vacation in Italy three years ago, was the best trip - so far.  As long as the money and our health holds out, we will contine our travels.  Spending our kids inheritance ..... LOL.    ---    Time to get serious:    We are truly looking forward to seeing everyone at our NBHS 1965 60th Class Reunion in June.  Be healthy, safe travels and God Bless you all.

I am hoping to attend our 60th.... we will have to see since wifey has medical problems  and it's tough to travel!!!  If anyone is in the Fort Smith area give me a holler!!! 😁

Happy  New Year to all.  We've had quite a year this past  year.  All our children have been called into the reserves, but thank goodness they are all healthy.  Our good news is that we became  great  grandparents without any effort in our part.  Wishing you all a healthy and super great year, with activity and continually positive health reports.

... with no direction home  .... like a complete unknown .... like a rolling stone ...

Bob Dylan Year by Year: Photos 1961-2019

Pretty good movie ... fairly accurate (from what I remember) ... I'm not big on going to the movies (or spending that much time watching them at home) but I thought that I should see this one just to check on historic accuracy ... and the portrayal of Bob ... they got it pretty close! My wife (who is NOT a Dylan fan) even thought it was pretty good.

I can only imagine how records sales will now soar (I wonder if my old vinyl copies are worth much more now?)
