I knew George from my old neighborhood.  I did not hang out with George at NBHS.  He was a great guy, lots of friends and he loved baseball.  He died on Aug. 1, 2012 in  El Monte, CA.  George was 65 years old.  He was a friend to all.  George was a Veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy.

I've thought about George so often over the years. I hoped to see him connect to this site and tried to find him through other internet sites. If I remember right, he helped start the "Beanie Boys". He was a good friend. I feel so bad to find out that he was living about 30 minutes from me here in California. Rest well my friend.

My special thanks to Roger Goyette for placing "the Flag" on George Parker's memorial.  Thank you, Roger, and keep up the good work, tracking our Military Classmates.  I truly appreciate it.

Hope you had a good Veteran's Day today.

Best regards,

Ray Ferreira

George was a great guy and easy to get to know.  He always had a joke or two to make you laugh.

RIP

I was sorry to hear of George's passing.  We lived next door and to one another and spent a lot of time together.  George wrote my name on my drum cases in calligraphy.   After high school we lost contact and I always wondered what had become of  him.  May he RIP.
