Dec. 8, 2020 - a sad day to call Buddy's home, in Tucson AZ.

Rest in Peace. I just spoke with Edwin "Buddy" Mello's wife, Nelle. She told me that Buddy passed away on Sept. 28, 2018, in Tucson Arizona.

He was a Hot Rod builder and had several trophies from car shows. He was a career man (21+ years) in the US Air Force (retired as a Tech Sgt, E6) and he later worked at Raytheon Missiles Division - Tucson AZ Branch. He was a good guy and a friend to all who knew him.

Rest in Peace Buddy, I am glad we reconnected, here in Arizona.

He will be missed at all the Custom Car/Hot Rod Shows in the Southwest.

While in the US Air Force, Buddy Mello legally changed his name to the man that raised him:

THOUGUIA, Buddy (USAF, TSGT - Retired) Born February 7, 1945 in New Bedford, Mass. - passed away September 28, 2018 at the age of 73. With his friendly smile, Buddy loved people and they loved him.
