Laughter, sadness, joy, adventure. A couple of times a year I visit NB to reconnect with my roots. I am very proud of our tough city and the people who survived there. For the last 39 years I have been a police officer in Springfield, MA serving as a detective in the Narcotics and Homicide bureaus. Retired in 2010 from the Police Dept, and currently direct security for several Springfield area adult night clubs.
I have also been lucky enough to be a volunteer football Coach at South Hadley High School for the last 12 years, helping to mentor young players We have been fortunate to have gone to five Superbowls and won two. The best part is watching these young men appreciate the experience, and watching them grow from Freshmen to Seniors.
As of Apr 13th 2012, I am retired, spending my time in the gym.
As I read the profiles of my fellow classmates I am so proud of what all of you have accomplished, I can assure you that the CLASS OF 65 is always in my thoughts and prayers. Be safe.
A footnote here, I now have a partime/fulltime job as a grandfather, a title and honor that I feel blessed to have.
About 5 years ago I came out of retirement and have traveled doing corporate security for a fortune 100 company. Besides New Bedford ,I can list Mexico, Paris, Monaco , Venice, Sicily, London, and Scotland as my temporary homes.
