Dave Medeiros:

Classmate, friend, teacher, coach, mentor, sea captain, environmentalist

 

Congratulations to Dave J. Medeiros on his nomination to the Fairhaven High School Hall of Fame. This wonderful honor is in recognition of Dave's career as a teacher at Fairhaven High School for 35 years. In addition to working as an English teacher, Dave also served as athletic director and coached football and track. In that capacity he helped to enhance the program for students and became more than a teacher / coach but a mentor, friend, and inspiration. The induction will take place July 1, at the Century House. He retired from the public school system, but has continued to serve the community through his work at the Northeastern Maritime Institute as an instructor.

 

Dave has contributed to the class of '65 through his participation in the music nights jam sessions (pictures posted on the Jam Sessions page, link on the left window) as well as assisting with this website. Congratulations, Dave!
