According to the Chinese horoscope, 2012 is The Year of the Dragon, a creature that symbolizes excellence and perseverance, among other traits. It is said a dragon succeeds by overcoming obstacles through its energy, intelligence, and optimism.

As we enter our 47^th year since graduating from NBHS this definition of a dragon is similar to the paths many of us followed. We’ve grown into adults who served our country, raised families, and went off into life and made a difference in the many occupations we chose.

I’m optimistic (another dragon trait) about our futures and look forward to the year ahead. I especially look forward to you continuing this year in keeping in touch with classmates and loved ones as your journey through life continues!
