Miss Castaldo:

It must be stated Miss Castaldo is devine.  She made us recite Hamlet's soliloquy, line by line.

She never felt it a burden to stay.  After school was for both help and play.

I remember Drama Club and plays we did.  But can't remember if we read Euclid.

Her dog was so graceful, I think Basenji.  Her MGB was blue, we were all in envy.

So even though a bare bodkin I do not own. I must give pause and thanks to the kindness and caring she has shown.

Even today, I am proud to proclaim.  I remain friends with Dorothy Castaldo-Laflame.

My best to you Miss Castaldo

I also had Ms.Castaldo, she was my favorite teacher, I still talk about her, I am a paraprofessional in Lynn and my teacher I work with reminds me so much of her.

I had Dottie for Homeroom and several studyhalls.   I remember driving her to her parent's home (several times), across from the old Dartmouth High School, when her MGB was in for service or not working for some reason or other.  She was great.  Does anyone know where she is now?   Is anyone still in contact with her?  If so, we should invite her to our 50th.

Miss Castaldo was my 'favorite'.  I met her at Roosevelt Jr. High and she (lucky for us) 'followed' us to the high school where, although I did not have her again as an insrtuctor, I always found her to be willing to talk and offer help and guidance.  (Is it any wonder that years later I became an English teacher?  Was it her influence, or that of the many others who taught English along the way?)   I will always remember that 'Miss Castaldo' sent me a very inspiring message while I was a teacher / AD at Fairhaven High School.   I, too, would love to see her again and take that trip down Memory Lane.

Someone, please invite her to the reunion!!!
